APPLICATIONS are being invited soon for young scholars across Teignbridge interested in being part of a pioneering new specialist school which opens in Ashburton next year.

The Atrium Studio, attached to the town's South Dartmoor Community College, opens its doors to 375 students of architecture, interior design, town planning and structural engineering, in September 2015.

Expressions of interest in studying at the £3.7 million government-funded school are expected to flood in when applications are accepted from September 1 this year. Applicants should live within a 20-mile radius of the town.<
