Police have moved in to their new headquarters on the Dolbeare Business Park, Ashburton, despite an access road being built by a developer without permission.

The boys in blue left their former base 'across the road' last year to occupy their new home, for which planning permission has been granted.

Today, Poppy Properties Ltd – which built the road – is making a retrospective application to Dartmoor National Park Authority Development Management Committee for a temporary access road to serve the site for three years.
