MORE than 300 pieces of art created in lockdown are on display in a pop-up exhibition in Newton’s Abbot Market Walk.

Support charity Devon Link-Up are behind the walk-through show which features work created by the charity’s clients during the lockdown period as a way of giving them a way to voice their thoughts and emotions.

On the opening night, chief officer of the charity Jo Morgan said the exhibition was amazing.

‘It’s phenomenal and better than we thought it would ever be,’ she said.

Also suitably impressed was Patrick Smale from Kingsteignton who has several pieces of work featured.

‘I’m actually quite stunned by it all,’ he said. ‘It’s the first time I’ve ever had any artwork displayed in public.

The exhibition runs until Friday.
