THE Hon Mrs Sarah Lopes has accepted an invitation from the Devon Royal British Legion to become the county president.

Mrs Lopes is no stranger to the organisation, being the granddaughter of the Legion’s founder, Field Marshal Earl Haig.

In 2011 she was the High Sheriff of Devon and raised a significant amount of money for the legion during her year in office.
