SCORES of facilities such as car parks and swimming pools are to be sold off across the district by Teignbridge Council in a bid to raise 'many millions of pounds'.

Also on the list is a Scout hut, tourist information centre, football clubhouse, industrial sites, community centre and a museum.

Developers could snap up land for housing and community groups take services into local control.

Some assets, such as the authority's Forde House headquarters and leisure centres in Teignmouth and Dawlish, are to be 'optimised' by reducing costs, finding extra income and making better use of the space.
