MORE than £400 was raised by customers at DIY retailer B&Q in Newton Abbot.

Over the Christmas fundraising weekend, various activities were organised as part of a bid to install a life-saving defibrillator in store.

The highlight was a static bike ride attempting to ride the distance from the shop to the North Pole, taking B&Q tools to the elves to make toys for children this Christmas.

Father Christmas, otherwise known as customer advisor Andrew Little, also hopped on the bike to do his bit.
