CYCLIST Maxine Thomas is hopping mad after being attacked by a German Shepherd dog during a ride down a country lane.

Mrs Thomas, who runs Thomas Trophies in Newton Abbot town centre with husband Gareth, was furious that the owners insisted it was her fault she was bitten on the leg because she did not stop to let the animals walk past her.

The cyclist – who reported the incident to police and a council dog warden after getting medical attention for her wound – was flabbergasted that she was being blamed.

The drama happened in a lane just outside Chudleigh on Wednesday last week.
