Stover Golf Club was the venue for the ninth Annual Dream-A-Way Ladies' Golf Day, which attracted 130 players from clubs across the south west. The weather was fine and there was generous hospitality provided by the hosts.

Exeter ladies did well by taking the first and third individual prizes.

With the generous support from many sponsors and hard work from all the volunteers, the day raised more than £2,500 for Dream-A-Way.

The charity's chairman, Jeff Merrett, said: 'Special thanks go to all the golf clubs who donated prizes for the day and also Langage Farm who donated tubs of their ice cream for all to enjoy afterwards.

'Planning is already under way for our tenth golf day, at Stover on Thursday, July 5, 2012.'
