What a great time we had at our first Drumming for Fun class on Saturday morning, reports Jane Lawrence from Teignmouth’s Alice Cross Centre.

Dee led us with energy and enthusiasm as we laughed and kept fit to Alison’s excellent playlist.

Yes, those really are wooden spoons and exercise balls.

A study conducted by the Universities of Gloucestershire and Chichester has concluded that drumming is an equivalent workout to playing in a Premier League football match! Don’t be put off though, people with very different levels of fitness (or none!) can benefit equally from this brilliant activity. Why don’t you join us at 10:15 on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes, at £3 a session; details below?
