ONE thing is almost certain – it will be fine on Buckfastleigh Lamb Pie Day – and Saturday was no exception for the annual event, which attracted hundreds to the town.
Organiser Peter Collings, who is also chairman of the town's chamber of trade, said the event went exceptionally well.
'We have always been pretty lucky with the weather and, once again, it was kind.
'The event was very well attended. Traders reported brisk business and there were good incomes for local clubs and organisations from their stalls.
'The event was set up partly to promote the town and give residents and visitors a great day out. Lamb Pie Day just seems to be getting bigger and better each year,' added Mr Collings.
