EMERGENCY work to repair a collapsed sewer has forced a full two-week road closure in Bovey Tracey.
The measures have been undertaken by South West Water on the B3344 Le Molay Littry Way between Fore Street and Old Orchard from 9am today.
A signed diversion route will be in place.
This is to allow South West Water to carry out emergency repairs to a collapsed sewer. This will involve digging 3m down to the pipe and replacing a 15m section.
Tankers will be used to transport wastewater from the sewerage network during the work.
South West Water project manager James Howourth said: ‘We appreciate that this essential work will cause some inconvenience, but we are working hard with local businesses, bus companies and the council to ensure disruption is kept to an absolute minimum. We will do our best to ensure the repair work is completed as soon as possible.’
