AbbPast, The History Group of Abbotskerswell, is hosting an eminent architectural historian at their next meeting tomorrow, May 14.
Dr Steven Brindle will present a talk on ‘Brunel and Paddington Station’.
A spokesman for AbbPast said: ‘Steven is regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on Brunel and is famed for discovering and saving Brunel’s ’lost’ iron bridge at Paddington.
‘His books include the critically acclaimed Brunel: the man who built the world and Paddington Station: it’s history and architecture.
‘He has also recently completed the definitive Windsor Castle: 1000 years as a royal palace for the Royal Collection.
The talk will take place at Church House, Abbotskerswell, from 7.30pm.
Non-members of the History Group are welcome to attend. There is an admission fee on the door.
