DEVON County Council are reminding young people that help is available as thousands of of students prepare to receive their A Level and GCSE results.

Devon’s network of Employment Hubs and Youth Hubs, including in Newton Abbot, offers free, friendly support to anyone aged 16 and over who is exploring options for work, training, or further education. Whether results day brings celebration or uncertainty, the hubs are here to help young people move forward with confidence.

The hubs provide one-to-one guidance on CV writing, interview preparation, career planning, and accessing apprenticeships or training.

Advisors work at each person’s pace and offer ongoing support tailored to individual needs.

Youth Hubs Devon, which is part of the Employment Hub service, are based within the six Employment Hubs across the county.

They work to support young people aged 16 to 24 on their journey to training and employment, offering support with CV writing, interview support, job and apprenticeship search, other application support, and more.

Councillor Simon Clist, Cabinet Member with responsibility for employment and skills, said: ‘I would like to wish the very best of luck to everyone expecting to hear their A-level or GCSE results over the next few weeks.

‘Results day can be a turning point, and we want young people to know they’re not alone.

‘Our welcoming staff are experts with many years of experience in helping people of all ages explore their options and giving practical help to take their next steps’.

The hubs are funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered in partnership with local councils.
