A TEENAGE Ashburton footballer is on top of the world after featuring in every game for the GB/England Cerebral Palsy under 20s team in last week's Brazilian Paralympic School Games.

Alex Woodgates, 16, a South Dartmoor Community College student, flew out with his team mates to Sao Paulo on November 23 for the tournament in the Paralimpiadas Escolares.

The team kicked off by beating Rio de Janeiro 5-1, had a 4-0 win in the second round, and then went to town with a 20-0 success against Governo De Para.

In a dramatic semi-final they proved England can win from spot kicks by defeating Mato Grosso 4-2 on penalties.
