AN HISTORIC former stable block at Stover House is one of 15 in the south west considered to be at risk by English Heritage.
Built in 1779, the disused stable block, which is Grade II* listed, in the grounds of the house has been identified by the conservation organisation as being at risk of neglect, decay or dereliction and added to its At Risk Register.
News of the concern about the building comes as English Heritage publishes its register for 2012 and is one of 159 Grade I and II* listed buildings, 1,412 scheduled monuments, 38 places of worship, 18 registered parks and gardens and 83 conservation areas which are at risk.
