The Rocky Horror Picture Show burst onto the stage in a riot of camp, chaos, and pure theatrical indulgence, offering an electrifying performance that had the audience fully immersed in its world of eccentricity at Toquay’s Princess Theatre– writes Iris Edwards

Nathan Caton, as the narrator, set the tone brilliantly, peppering his lines with sharp, well-timed ad-libs that kept the crowd roaring with laughter.

His interaction with the audience transformed the experience into something far beyond a conventional play—it became an event.

This was complemented by the incredible audience participation; fans arrived in costume, shouting callbacks and dancing along, particularly duringTime Warp, which was a standout moment.

Adam Strong commanded attention as Frank-N-Furter, embodying both seductive confidence and chaotic unpredictability with flair.

His presence was magnetic, making every scene he appeared in utterly compelling. Job Greuter’s portrayal of Riff Raff was equally impressive, using expressive gestures to enhance the eerie, unsettling nature of the character.

Erica Wild stepped in as Janet, delivering a fantastic performance that more than held its own—her energy and commitment made for a seamless transition. Connor Carson also delivered a strong portrayal of Brad, navigating his transformation from innocence to uninhibited revelry with comedic precision.

Visually, the production dazzled—dramatic lighting shifts and atmospheric smoke during scene transitions heightened the spectacle. Overall, this production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show delivered on its promise of theatrical rebellion, making for a wild, unforgettable night.

The show runs until Saturday, June 21 at the Princess Theatre in Torquay.
