TWO superb musicians from this country’s contemporary folk music scene will be in concert at Ashburton Arts Centre later this month.

Playing instrumental music on accordion and viola, along with various electronics which add extra colours to their sonic palette, Tom Moore and Archie Moss are widely regarded as two of the best players and innovators in traditional folk .

They bring the resolute harmony of Moss’s accordion and the texture and flow of Moore’s viola to both the studio and the stage.

Whilst intrinsically influenced by both English and European traditional dance music forms, sonically they have their heads firmly in the present.

Having toured with with some of the biggest and brightest acts in the British folk scene, they reconvene to perform as duo.
