DARTMOOR’S Folk choir The Lost Sound and London based a cappella duo Ben & Dom will be joining forces at Ashburton Arts Centre this weekend for an evening celebrating singing and singing together.

Based in South London,  duo Ben & Dom, are taking their intricate vocals on a UK wide tour this spring.  The pair lend their voices to songs old and new, performing original material alongside new interpretations of folk songs.

Both  are experienced choir leaders and community musicians, and have been sharing their love of group singing for many years. The two met through the community choir scene, and are passionate advocates for singing and the positive effect it can have on lives.

The Lost Sound was  formed in 2008, selecting singers who were open to being directed and who wanted to explore their own voices in a choir setting. This individual voice development, under musical director Sandra Smith, is key to the success of the choir’s unique and enchanting  sound.
