The opening of a new exhibition at the Teign Heritage Centre at the end of last month was the culmination of a two-year project exploring the Story of West Teignmouth, writes Lou Bagnald.

The project was funded by a grant from the People’s Health Trust using money raised by Health Contact through the Health Lottery. The aim was to collect people’s memories and experiences of life in West Teignmouth.
The exhibition shows some of the many photographs collected and short passages from the recordings made by those who lived and worked in West Teignmouth. Also on display are tapestries made by the residents of Leander Court, Eden Court and the Meadow Centre Senior Lunch Club and a collage and artwork by the pupils of TCS Mill Lane.
The exhibition runs until May 6.
