POKÉMON hunters will be out in force in Newton Abbot town centre tomorrow, writes Kate Cotton.
Extra treasures will be ‘lured’ into the town for players of the Pokémon GO craze, which is sweeping the world.
The game involves hunting for eggs and characters and other paraphernalia via a mobile phone app. It’s been said to encourage families to walk many miles together and discover more places in the real world, in the hunt for the virtual reality Pokémon.
Sally Henley, Newton Abbot town development manager, has invested around £30 to plant ‘lures’ at different town centre sites – which will attract more Pokémon goodies, ready to be caught by the hunters.
