STORM Alex is currently making its presence felt across the area this morning (Friday) with reports of several trees down across the St Marychuch Road between Milber and Torquay.

Police have currently closed the road for safety reasons and are awaiting engineers to remove the arboreal casualties.

According to the Met Office, who have issued a yellow warning for wind and rain, the worst is yet to come with stronger winds and heavy rain forecast for later on today.
