A trip to Ashburton's Winter Carnival cost a family £380 after their car was clamped and towed away from the old cattle market car park.
And a man whose son's car was clamped despite having a valid ticket claims one of the car park attendants offered to release the car, if he beat the attendant in a fight.
He is now pursuing the case through the Small Claims Court.
A spokesman for Premier Park Ltd denied the allegation and said that their operatives were acting correctly.
He also claimed most drivers did not have genuine excuses but simply wanted to avoid paying.
Several motorists approached the Mid-Devon Advertiser about the treatment they received from Exeter-based Premier Park Ltd.
