Middle Rocombe Farm, Stokeinteignhead, has been invaded by nearly 30 artists who are preparing for Art Farm Project 2006, which starts tomorrow. The farm will be transformed into a haven for the artists who will be exhibiting their work using outhouses, barns, fields, ponds and even a slurry pit as a backdrop for their art work. In total, 28 artists from within an 18-mile radius of the farm have been selected for this year's event. During the last year, the artists have been working on projects relating to, or inspired by, the farm and its tranquil surroundings. Owner of Middle Rocombe Farm, Peter Redstone said: 'The event is a massive undertaking and it is made possible through tremendous hard work by the artists, volunteers and friends of the project who are determined to make it happen. 'This year's event is even more challenging for the artists involved as it only features new work, inspired by the farm, so there is even more for them to do. It does mean, though, that here will be a fantastic range of work for people to look at and experience.' The Art Farm Project 2006 runs until June 18.
