JOB-CREATING plans for a farm shop in Ashburton have been rejected by town councillors.

They say that the proposed Ruby's Farm Shop in Dolbeare Road has too many niggling faults which they cannot allow.

Planning committee spokesman Cllr John Nutley told fellow councillors at their meeting on Tuesday that he was reluctant to turn down any application that brought ten jobs to the town, five of them full-time posts.
