A FARMER has appealed to dog walkers to take more care of their pets after a spate of sheep savaging and worrying incidents on his land near Bovey Tracey.
John Midgley, who keeps 100 ewes and lambs at the National Trust's Parke estate, has called police on the last two weekends after his flocks were attacked by dogs not kept under proper control.
He revealed that similar problems had been experienced up the valley towards Pullabrook Woods and beyond.
Matters had been exacerbated by a new influx of less mindful dog walkers in the area enjoying the Wrey Valley Trail.
