CAMPAIGNERS hoping to save fields at Ware Barton, Kingsteignton, from development have welcomed the news the 30-acre site is to be spared the bulldozer.Teignbridge Council had included the area close to the junction of the A380 and A381 in its 20-year Local Plan. The authority wanted to see employment units and a public transport hub built there.But planning inspector Geoff Salter, as a result of his examination of Plan Teignbridge, has said the scheme should be dropped and the land given Undeveloped Coast protection.
