NATURAL history film-maker and broadcaster Andrew Cooper was the guest of Newton Abbot and District Allotment Association.

Mr Cooper presented the cups to winning plotholders on each of the association’s five fields as well as prizes for a photographic competition.

The winning photograph of a firecrest was taken by Mike Dart of Bradley Field.

At the event, Mr Cooper also gave association members an interesting insight into the effects climate change was having on wildlife.

He gave an example of birds that used to gather on the Scilly Isles but that have now migrated to congregate on Fair Isle off the coast of Scotland.
