A Newton Abbot businessman has said he will wave the flag for the British manufacturing industry and has put his money where his mouth is to prove it.His decision maintains a century-old tradition in the town and one which, it is hoped, could create new jobs.Martin Smith, chief executive of the Firewatch Group, has bought clothing company Vander, which has traded on the Brunel Industrial Estate since 1979.
