POLICE were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Ashburton Road, Newton Abbot, at around 6.15pm on Sunday, December 4.

A police spokersperson said: ‘Officers found that two cars had collided, and a road closure was put in place.

‘The fire and ambulance services also attended.

‘Five people were injured, but none of the injuries were reported to be serious.

‘The vehicles involved in the collision were recovered at about 8.20pm.’
