'Flooding is possible, be prepared’, is the warning from the Environment Agency as Storm Katie sweeps across England, leaving some flights in the South East cancelled, property damaged and thousands of people without power.

In South Devon flood warnings have moved from the River Dart area to the River Teign and its surrounds.

In a statement the Environment Agency said that due to the very windy and wet conditions that arrived late on Sunday (March 27) and this morning (March 28) rainfall totals are expected to reach 20mm, with up to 30-40mm locally, especially over higher ground. Flooding to low-lying land and roads is expected.
