THE sun was a saviour for Lustleigh's annual show, in complete contrast to 12 months ago when pouring rain turned it into a virtual washout.

Monday's event at Kelly Farm attracted between 3,000 and 4,000 people, delighting secretary Carol Lucas.

'We needed a good day to offset the losses we made last year. I would hope this has turned things right around and we have enough money to more than wipe that out.

'Hopefully now we can look at what is required to reinvest in equipment which is in need of repair, and any money left over will go to community groups in Lustleigh,' she said.
