After five years of continuous Arts Council England support, the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World in Haldon Forest Park is threatened with closure after an unsuccessful grant application. The arts council has given the centre the opportunity to reapply, but only if the charity raises £20,000 in match funding by mid-March for its new 2010-11 programme year. The centre has asked for help from previous funders Devon County Council and Teignbridge Council, but is also appealing to regional businesses and the public who play a pivotal part in securing its future.
