A man was found dead in his car near Teignmouth Golf Club yesterday (sun).

Police confirmed that a man in his early 20s from the Teignmouth area was discovered lifeless in the vehicle just before 5pm.

The discovery was made in an isolated part of a car park near the golf course.

A police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances.

He added that a file would be prepared for the coroner.

The name of the dead man has not been released.

An inquest is expected to open later this week to take formal evidence of identity.
