Roger and Annie Kirk, of Shaldon, trustees of The Helen Foundation, write:

We are writing to express our thanks publicly for the most generous support of The Helen Foundation by three local pubs in the past month.

Ye Olde Jolly Sailor in Teignmouth held a Folly at the Jolly in July and the Bishop John de Grandisson hosted the Cambridge University Ceilidh Band and ran a barbecue on bank holiday Sunday.

Meanwhile, The Ship Inn, Teignmouth presented their four days of music in the holiday period, raising funds for Rowcroft and The Helen Foundation.

There is such a lot of musical talent in the area. Watch your backs, Muse, they are hard on your heels.

All three pubs could not have been more supportive.

their entire teams worked really hard and their generous customers freely donated funds for their chosencharities.

Thank you to all those businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes and thanks to everyone who came along, and supported the events. We hope you enjoyed them as much as we did.
