EDUCATION bosses behind a failed bid to open Teignbridge's first free school have said they are 'disappointed' their project was not successful.

The Templer Academy Trust had submitted a bid to the Department for Education to build a £4 million new primary school in Kingsteignton.

But they were beaten by a rival bid from the neighbouring United Schools Trust, which includes St Michael's primary school in Kingsteignton, it was announced last week.
