Call the Cops on Channel 4 gets its first airing at 9pm with the two counties force keeping law and order on their patch over last year’s Easter holidays.
Armed robberies, sex attacks, domestic bust-ups and the drama of people going missing will be stuff of the series which highlights the pressures of frontline policing against a background of harsh budget cuts.
Cameras rolled for a year, concentrating the action in and around the Torbay and Plymouth areas.
Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer, said: ‘Frontline policing for the vast majority of my officers is incredibly challenging.
‘The series accurately reflects this - and will be an eye-opening watch for many of our communities and the wider public.’
