FIREFIGHTERS were called to a petrol station outside Bovey Tracey last night after a car’s fuel tank burst.

The hazardous vehicle was removed from the forecourt by the crew who used an environmental pack to absorb the spill of five litres.

The alarm was raised at the Bovey Straights service station on the Newton Road just after 7.30pm.
