ACE fundraiser Joanne Payne is back on the charity chain tomorrow as she locks herself in stocks for a good cause.
Joanne, aged 45, a shelf-stacker at Tesco’s in Kingsteignton, will be outside the superstore hoping to boost this year’s tally of funds towards her £10,000 target.
So far she has collected more than £6,600 with an assortment of events from fancy dress stunts to duck race antics. All the money will go to Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation. Tomorrow’s assault on her running total will include a nail polish and lollipop stand together with the additional temptation of assorted cakes.
‘I just love raising funds for charity,’ said the dauntless trouper. She will be ‘on show’ from 9am to 6pm.
