A £6,500 donation has shot a district charity stalwart past the £200,000 mark.

Bovey Tracey resident Kelly Hayman-Bruce started collecting for cancer support groups after five people she and friends knew all contracted the condition in quick succession.

Fifteen years later and what is now the Bovey Tracey and District Macmillan Cancer Support Group has raised £205,000.

The group has approximately 25 active members who take part in events across Teignbridge and beyond.
