Supporters of Bovey Climate Action's Funky Fashion Footprints Fair were out in force on Saturday. At a green street market in Bovey Tracey town centre, shoppers had the chance to find out how to alter, decorate and mend their favourite clothes. There was also the opportunity to learn how to peg weave, knit and finger knit. A highlight of the event was Lazy Laundry, which promoted eco-friendly clothes washing. Chudleigh and Bovey Tracey Rotary Club members also attended the fair and did a collection for ShelterBox. Nearly £500 was raised for the boxes – which contain tents and necessity items – for the Pakistan flood appeal.
