POLICE will now be able to patrol the Teignbridge area more often than before after a Kingsteignton garage presented them with a new car.
County Garage are supporting the work of the newly-formed Teignbridge Neighbourhood Policing PACT (Partners and Communities Together) team in trying to make the district a safer place to live, with manager Tom Mace handing over a Seat Leon on Tuesday.
The vehicle is marked with the Devon and Cornwall crest and signage from Seat highlighting their partnership approach.
Area Superintendent Jim Meakin said: 'I would like to thank Seat for their valued support in supplying the vehicle to us for use by our PACT team.
'The Teignbridge community must feel more confident and reassured that the police are working in partnership with local companies who want to be actively involved in supporting its community.'
