Police in Newton Abbot are appealing for information about a robbery in which a young man allegedly brandished a penknife and took money from two teenage girls in the town.

The 15 year old students were waiting for a bus in Torquay Road at Penn Inn Roadabout last Wednesday (18) when the offender produced a Swiss Army knife and demanded the girls' possessions

The incident occurred around 11am.

They handed him £15 and he then walked off in the direction of McDonalds takeaway.

The offender is described as white, aged approximately 18 years, with slim build, blue eyes, and short blond hair. He was wearing a sweater and blue jeans.
