AFTER a quarter-of-a-century as a teaching assistant at Chudleigh Community Primary School, Janet Full has retired.,On Monday, her last day at the school, she received glowing praise for her dedication, calm and caring approach to ensure the children achieved their best.,When she started in the post 25-years-ago, the school was in an old building next to the town's car park – now the youth centre and library – and there were fewer children.,Of the many changes she has seen over the years the main one was the move to the new school in Lawn Drive. Her role has also changed significantly from spending much of her time clearing up after the children and teachers and generally helping out in classrooms, to an invaluable member of the teaching team.,Janet particularly supported the needs of small groups of pupils and individuals. She was also a leading light in organising many of the traditional school activities such as Christmas performances, pancake day races and sports day.,Headteacher, David Barnett said that people like Janet did not come along very often.,'I would like to say a huge thank you to her for all she has done for so many children, staff and parents during the last 25 years. We will all miss her,' he said.
