AFTER the incredible highs of winning gold at the Commonwealth Games last week, Newton Abbot bowler Natalie Melmore is down to earth with a bump, back at Plymouth University on Monday to complete her law degree.
Speaking from her university digs, former Newton Abbot College student described the moment when she realised gold was within her grasp.
'I was really focused and I relaxed a little bit after the semis because I had a guaranteed medal. I think that takes a little bit of the pressure off.
'At one point I thought, I've done it when I was 8-2 up in the second set, I was still playing really good bowls and thought, oh yes!
