On every point that Mr Cole raises, I for one and I’m sure many others totally agree.

Why on earth would you spend money upgrading shops etc, ­trying to lure in more shoppers when our roads are already gridlocked on many occasions.

Geoff Pike also has a very valid point about the broken glass under the Town Quay railway bridge on the Kingsteignton side which reappears every time it gets cleared up.

Oh! and Wayland Van Hildyck-Smith – don’t tar everyone with the same brush. I personally wash, squash and recycle everything possible and I’m sure there are a lot more like me than the lazies who can’t be bothered.
