BOVEY Tracey Hospital reopened its nine inpatient beds at the end of last week – three weeks after patients, along with the beds, were moved to Newton Abbot.

The decision by the South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group to transfer the patients without consultation on January 9 caused a furore in Bovey Tracey with some residents fearing the hospital might not reopen.
