A new friendship group for adults with additional needs or learning disabilities is launching in Teignmouth at the end of the month.
The Teignbridge Friendship Group will fill the gap left following the closure of the No Limits Café and Hub in Newton Abbot earlier this year.
Run by Teignbridge CVS and the Alice Cross Centre, the group will provide a safe space for adults with learning disabilities or additional needs to socialise, play games and take part in a variety of activities. ‘It will be like a youth club, but for grown-ups,’ explained Peta Howell, general manager of the Alice Cross Community Centre in Teignmouth, which will be hosting the group.
The Friendship Group will meet at 1pm at the Alice Cross Centre every Saturday from June 28.
