An eye-watering stunt has generated some £700 for Rowcroft Hospice.
Burly staff at the Finlake Holiday Park, Chudleigh Knighton, lined up on Monday to take part in a sponsored waxing in which the hair from their legs, chest and backs was whipped off.
One of those wielding the wax was 19-year-old beautician Carmel Langmead, from Chudleigh.
'One of our clients, Gail Vooght, got the ball rolling and suggested we do this for a local charity,' she said. 'There were six fellas who volunteered and yes, they were in quite a lot of pain.
'It was absolutely brilliant though, a great atmosphere, and although we're still adding up we hope to have raised about £700.'
