PRISONERS locked up in the most glamorous prison around have raised £1,500 for Hannahs at Seale-Hayne’s radio station, Access All Aerials (AAA).

Twelve brave women spent the day locked up in the Pamper Prison, where they had to undergo hours of hard labour on massage tables and yoga mats.

The inmates were released from the prison at Seale-Hayne after they paid bail to prison governor Kirsty Edwards, who organised the event with her mum Jacqueline.

The prisoners were guarded by Amy Joanne, Neena Beeharry, Rose Mole and Amy and Carley Freestone.

Even the real police turned up for a while in the afternoon.

Kirsty is a presenter on the AAA radio station, along with 30 other DJs with disabilities.

She said: ‘I really liked raising money because AAA sees the person first, not the disability.

‘I have always wanted to go on the radio and AAA lets people with disabilities do a show.

‘All the people at Seale-Hayne are very friendly to me.’

The money raised will go towards helping the disabled DJs learn new skills, grow in confidence and purchase new equipment.
