Up to 300 hardy souls in fancy dress braved the high tide and chilly conditions to raise funds for Teignmouth RNLI on Boxing Day.

This popular annual event always attracts a large crowd of onlookers to Teignmouth sea front and this year the crowd was estimated to be around 2,000 strong including six coach loads of visitors.

The final total including donations and sponsorships is likely to exceed £5,000 which will be used to train the crew and help supply new equipment.
